It’s more than a forest, it’s a community!

JEDD and QUiNTUS, in partnership with Arbre-Évolution, wish to establish a food forest on the grounds of a high school in Montérégie. This food forest will be co-constructed by the students, the staff and the community of this school, starting in September 2023.

Grand Prize:

A food forest and eco-educational support over three years valued at $25,000. The total amount reserved for the food forest will be divided among the following components, based on the project selected:

• Consulting expenses (technical design plan for the winning food forest and sign, logistics and activity plan)
• Implementation (soil preparation and labour in collaboration with the community, plantings and materials)
• Training and follow-up expenses after the project’s completion (knowledge transfer seminar on proper maintenance of the forest, consulting services, post-planting follow-up and eco-training sessions)

Runner-up prizes

1. The second-place school will receive 10 hours of coaching from Arbre-Évolution to guide and support them in their project idea, as entered in the competition.
2. The third-place school will receive passes for an outing to Arbraska and to the RGFM movie theatre.
